There are three crypto-native prop firms we track: Propr, SizeProp and HyroTrader. None of them pays us. We have no affiliate link with any crypto prop firm, every outbound link here is plain, and the only offer on this page is a charting tool. That is deliberate: the honest conclusion of this guide is "cap your exposure at one evaluation fee", and selling you a crypto evaluation underneath that would be indefensible.

This is what each firm actually is as of 21 September 2026, what we could verify, what we could not, and who each one fits.

The quick verdict

Most operating history: HyroTrader, in the prop business since 2023 on real exchange execution. Best terms on paper: SizeProp, if you can stomach that it is eleven months old. Most transparent, with the biggest caveat: Propr, whose payouts verify on-chain but whose accounts are entirely simulated and mostly not hedged.

Our current scores rank them Propr 70, SizeProp 68, HyroTrader 65. Those scores were last reviewed in May 2026 and predate several of the findings below. They are due a refresh, and this page tells you what that refresh will be looking at.

The three firms, honestly

Propr (score 70, Healthy)

Built by the startup studio XBorg, trading on Hyperliquid with 160+ perpetuals plus prediction markets on Polymarket. A flat 80% split with no scaling tiers, on-demand USDC payouts with a $20 minimum and no waiting period, and a public dashboard showing payouts, revenue, pass rates and hedging positions. Evaluation pricing for a 25,000 USDC account at our review: $125 (Turbo, 9% target, 3% static drawdown), $185 (Pro, 12% target, 5% static) or $275 (Classic, 10% target, 6% static), each with a 3% daily loss. Sizes run from 5k to 200k, funded capital is capped at $300,000, and there are no time limits.

The receipts are unusually good for the sector. An independent review on 7 September 2026 traced a Propr payout on Ethereum to the cent (414.84 USDC, matching the dashboard's 80% split) and confirmed one of the firm's Hyperliquid hedge positions against the exchange's own API. Propr's founder said in a public post that the firm had paid traders over $1 million four months into beta. Trustpilot sits at 4.4 from 62 reviews.

The caveats are also unusually clear, because Propr discloses them. Every trader account is simulated. You submit signals; Propr decides whether to copy them onto Hyperliquid (visible on-chain) or record them internally, and its own risk disclosure says that on internally booked trades the firm's profit is inversely correlated with yours. One reviewer measured roughly 5% of signals reaching a live venue. The dashboard's A-book to B-book ratio, the one number that would size that conflict, returned the same value on every query the reviewer made, which suggests a fallback rather than live data. The terms describe payouts as discretionary settlements, and identity verification happens after the fee is taken. None of that makes Propr a scam. It makes Propr a market maker that pays you when it decides to, with a very good record of deciding to so far.

SizeProp (score 68, Yellow Flag)

Launched October 2025 by Windra Thio, backed by Igloo Inc, the company behind Pudgy Penguins. Execution is on an in-house platform powered by Hyperliquid with market data from Trade.xyz and Bybit, covering crypto, stocks, forex and metals. Drawdown is static and balance-based on closed trades only, there are no minimum days and no consistency rule. Base split is 80%, with 90% and 95% sold as checkout add-ons ($350 and $450 at our review). Payouts are in USDT, usually within 24 hours, with no frequency caps. At our review the $100k accounts were $580 (Degen: 8% target, 2% daily, 3% max) and $999 (1-Step: 10% target, 3% daily, 5% max), with entry challenges advertised from $19 on smaller sizes.

The firm's self-reported numbers as of May 2026: over 100 payouts, zero denied, more than $50 million in funded capital granted, 200+ funded traders. Trustpilot 4.6 from 50+ reviews. We could not independently verify any of those figures; SizeProp pays in USDT, which is traceable in principle, but no third-party tracker we use indexes it yet.

The Yellow Flag is about age, not conduct. Eleven months is not a track record. The backing is real and the terms are the cleanest of the three, but "zero denied payouts" is a sentence every firm can say in its first year.

HyroTrader (score 65, Yellow Flag)

The oldest of the three: founded 2022, in the prop business since 2023, EU-registered with a Prague office. Unlike the other two it executes on real centralized exchanges, with a direct Bybit API connection and a CLEO terminal on Binance market data. Challenge pricing at our review ran $59 (5,000 USDT) through $119, $249, $379 and $579 to $969 (200,000 USDT). The split starts at 80% and scales to 90% over time. Payouts in USDT or USDC within 12 hours, $100 minimum, first payout available one day after your first funded trade. Rules: 4% daily drawdown, 6% maximum loss, and a cap on low-cap altcoin exposure.

Self-reported: 1,700+ funded traders and $7 million paid, up from the $3.5 million figure older reviews quote. Google rating 4.7 from 210 reviews. Again, not independently verified.

The Yellow Flag here is thinner public evidence relative to age. Three years in business should have produced more third-party payout documentation than we can find. The real-exchange execution is a genuine structural advantage over Propr's simulated model: your fills are real fills.

The firm we do not track yet

Breakout, acquired by Kraken in 2025, is the crypto prop firm with the biggest name behind it: on-demand USDC payouts from $50, static drawdown, up to 90% split, accounts to $200,000, and a 4.8 Trustpilot rating. It is not on our tracker because we have not done the work to score it, and we do not add firms without data. It should be on your shortlist regardless of ours. When we have scored it, it will appear on the crypto index.

How to pick, if you are going to

  1. Decide whether simulated fills bother you. If yes, HyroTrader is the only one of the three on real exchange execution. If you are fine being paid from a simulation as long as the payment arrives, Propr's on-chain record is the best evidence in the sector.
  2. Buy the smallest account. $19 at SizeProp, $59 at HyroTrader, $125 at Propr. The point of the first account is to test the payout rail, not to get rich.
  3. Withdraw your first payout in full, immediately. Do not compound. A firm that pays $200 in an hour has told you more than any review.
  4. Never deposit beyond the evaluation fee. Any crypto prop firm that asks you to top up, stake, or "unlock" is not a prop firm.
  5. Re-read our firm page before every new purchase. Scores carry a last-reviewed date for a reason.

What would move our scores

For Propr: a live, verifiable A-book ratio on the dashboard, and payouts described in the terms as an obligation rather than a discretionary settlement. For SizeProp: twelve months of operation and a third-party tracker indexing its USDT payouts. For HyroTrader: any independent payout dataset at all. For all three: surviving a real drawdown in crypto with a large funded book. The sector has not been through that yet, and until it has, "best crypto prop firm" means "least unproven".

Nothing above is a recommendation to deposit. All three firms are under three years old as prop firms. Treat every dollar sent as spent until it comes back.
